I’ve attached an interesting and important article I read today in Newsweek, "The Creativity Crisis" by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman.

Our birthright is creativity.  Everyone is.  Every action we take is.  Every voice is completely unique. Creativity is a skill that can be practiced and learned.

Imitation is one stop on the pathway to learning anything; dance, sports, instruments, language, math, art, the sciences.  After imitation follows our own individual expressions.  Our own voice.  Inventions are born. Creative solutions are discovered by allowing ourselves to explore and make mistakes.  This is where I feel the best opportunities exists to cultivate self confidence, self reliance, compassion, communication skills all in a non competitive and supportive environment.

To use our natural curiosity and wonder that we possess when we are very young throughout our entire life. To never stop asking “Why?”. Can we dance to the beat of our own drum while in step with humanity? I think yes!

I invite you to explore what you can do differently today to see what new way of thinking or doing something you can discover for yourself.

Hope you enjoy the article and please pass on.
