Beginner Group Violin

These classes, for children and their parent or caregiver will serve as an introduction to the violin.  The class uses Suzuki methods and materials. Suzuki Violin Book 1/CD. Parents help create a rich learning environment by participating and being a model for their child. Classes involve singing, movement and learning position fundamentals on child-sized violins. A great stepping stone between group music classes and instrumental study, as well as an easy way to explore the Suzuki method. Class is taught by teacher Ofelia Martinez

Class runs for 6 weeks
Fridays 3:15 - 4pm Group A (new beginners)
Fridays 4:15 - 5pm Group B (Advanced beginners having taken two 6 week semesters with Group A)

Session 1: September 10 -  October 15 
Session 2:October 22 - December 3
Session 3: January 7 - February 11      

Session 4: February 18 - April 1 (NO class on 2/25) 
Session 5: April 8 - May 20 (NO class on 4/22)
Session 6: June 3 - July 15 (NO class on 7/1)

Tuition (first child): $150* for new families (includes $10 new-family registration fee), $140* for returning families. Sibling tuition:  $105
