Led by Marianne Ryan, Professional Actor and Owner of Creative Adventures/Discover Music and Art.

This class is designed to introduce young people to the exciting world of the theatre. Students explore the craft of acting and learn the discipline of performing, as they develop their own unique creative voices. Students will create art projects that will become part of their set, used as props and/or part of their costumes. Rehearsal/class will be held for 11 weeks on Thursdays at 4:45 PM for 75 minutes. Performances will be held December 10th, 11th and 12th. Locations TBD

This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to act along with three adult professional actor/educators in each production. Participants develop poise, movement, speaking, and acting skills as they explore improvisation, theatre games, character development and the many skills of professional actors.

Our winter production, "A Carol of a Christmas" is based on "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens adapted by Marianne Ryan with original music by Marianne Ryan and Christy Zarlengo.
